Delicious chicken wings made in the air fryer are a fabulous and guilt-free meal! I use a sugar free spice blend to season the wings, then cook them to tender perfection in the air fryer.
Some people consider chicken wings an appetizer, but in my house they are a perfectly acceptable meal! Especially great for game day noshing. You'll want to make these on repeat!

How to Make Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer
This might be the easiest way ever to make chicken! I make a super simple sugar free dry rub and sprinkle it all over the wings.

If you have a favorite seasoning already, feel free to use it here. I sometimes use a Cajun seasoning mix just because I always have it on hand. 😁
Pat or rub the seasoning onto the chicken wings to ensure it is really sticking all around. Then place the wings in your air fryer basket.

You'll see that my basket is wide and flat. This is because I have an oven-style air fryer. My first air fryer was an Instant Pot lid, which had a smaller and deeper basket. And I have made many chicken wings using both types.
Surprisingly, the time and temperature works out the same for both. So I am confident that it will work for you also, no matter what model air fryer you have.
Air fry the wings at 400F for 18 minutes. Turn or shake the wings about half way through the cycle.

After the cooking cycle is complete, check your wings. Mine are always completely done and ready to eat. However, if you really want a more crispy skin, you'll need to add another 2 to 4 minutes.
I serve mine without the additional cook time because I find them perfectly tender and delicious.

Serving Suggestions
What I love about these wings is that they are seasoned enough, but not too much. So it's easy to serve them with dipping sauces to suit different preferences. The kids might like some Ranch dressing or Chick-Fil-A sauce, whereas the adults might want barbecue sauce or something with a little more spice. Something for everyone!
This is a favorite game day meal for us, and even though it officially makes about 4 servings, I have to confess that with only 2 of us there are never any leftovers!
