Mix the spices to make the dry rub, if using. Or, use a favorite dry rub you already have.
1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Wash and pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel. Spread them out on a plate and sprinkle with the seasoning. Pat or rub the seasoning all over the wings to ensure the meat is well seasoned.
1 to 1½ pounds chicken wings
Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to cook at 400F for 18 minutes.
Check the wings halfway through the cooking cycle and turn them or shake the basket to promote even cooking.
When the cycle is complete, check your wings for doneness. The best way to verify is by using a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature is at least 165F.
Serve as-is or with dipping sauces of your choice.

Notes
For a crispier skin, you can add another 2 to 4 minutes to the cycle at the end. Every air fryer is a little different so use these directions as a starting point and adjust as needed for your air fryer and personal preferences.
