    Why You'll Love This Recipe

Sometimes you just want an adult beverage with a little sweetness! But most drink mixers add a ton of sugar. If you're trying to reduce your sugar intake, this sugar free sweet and sour mix is the perfect answer!

The right amount of tang thanks to both lemon and lime juice. And just enough sweetness thanks to Stevia and erythritol. It's delish!

    Ingredients Needed

Ingredients: Truvia, water, limes, and lemon.
Reminder to scroll to the recipe card for detailed quantities.

How to Make This Homemade Mix

To make this mix, you only need water plus 3 ingredients. So easy!

I like the microwave the water for a minute first to warm it up. Then add the Truvia and stir to dissolve. Many sugar substitutes take longer to dissolve than sugar, so keep stirring until the cloudiness dissipates and all the granules disappear.

    Sweetener dissolved in the water.

Now add the fresh squeezed juices: lemon and lime. For one cup of water I use ¼ cup of lime juice (usually at least one whole lime for this) and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (a half a lemon is typically plenty). You can always play with these proportions a little to suit your personal preference.

Adding lemon juice to the mix.

Mix this up and then transfer to a covered jar for storage. Place it in the refrigerator and get it nice and cold for your next cocktail 🍸.

    Storage

Keep this sugar free sweet and sour mix in the fridge, it will be good for about a week. If you need to keep it longer, place it in the freezer. But the reason I kept the batch size fairly small is that I'd rather make a fresh batch as needed. Why not? It's fast and easy!
